RNA is a central molecule for viruses; however, the interactions that viral RNA (vRNA) establishes with the host cell is only starting to be elucidated. Here, we determine the ribonucleoprotein (RNP) composition of the prototypical arthropod-borne Sindbis virus (SINV). We show that SINV RNAs engage with hundreds of cellular proteins, including a group of nuclear RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) with unknown roles in infection.

Purpose: To assess whether adult trauma center status influences radiology resident performance on trauma cases in the Emergent/Critical Care Imaging SIMulation (WIDI SIM) exam.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective study analyzed 29,290 WIDI SIM exam scores from 110 adult trauma cases across 55 radiology residency programs. Residents were categorized by training level-R1 (n = 17,801), R2 (n = 9,136), R3 (n = 1,826), R4 (n = 527)-and by their program's adult trauma center designation: Level 1 (n = 20,121), Level 2 (n = 1,870), Level 3 (n = 1,029), Level 4 (n = 487), and no trauma designation (n = 5,834).

Parental monitoring and knowledge of their teens' activities might enable parents to keep teens safe, reducing the risk of potentially traumatic events. This paper investigated that possibility using a large, nationwide sample of 11,880 early adolescent teens followed longitudinally from ages 10-11 to 13-14 years old. Bifunctional catalase-peroxidase (KatG) features a posttranslational methionine-tyrosine-tryptophan (MYW) crosslinked cofactor crucial for its catalase function, enabling pathogens to neutralize hydrogen peroxide during infection. We discovered the presence of indole nitrogen-linked hydroperoxyl adduct (MYW-OOH) in Mycobacterium tuberculosis KatG in the solution state under ambient conditions, suggesting its natural occurrence. By isolating predominantly MYW-OOH-containing KatG protein, we investigated the chemical stability and functional impact of MYW-OOH.
