The efficient handling of nitrogen has become a critical issue in modern agriculture, from a financial standpoint, as well as in regard to reducing the environmental impacts of using an excessive amount of nitrogen fertilizer. Manure compost is useful for maintaining or raising soil chemical levels without excessive NO3- accumulation; however, for the best grain yield, it should be combined with N fertilizer. Via this study, we aimed to develop an optimal decision support system that indicates when to initiate fertilization based on nitrogen-limited (N-limited) crop growth dynamics.

While several examples regarding dyadic human robot interaction exist in the current literature, multi-agent scenarios in which one or more artificial agents need to interact with many humans are still seldom investigated. In this paper we address the problem of synthesizing an autonomous artificial agent to perform a paradigmatic oscillatory joint task in human ensembles while exhibiting some desired human kinematic features.

Previous modelling studies at the national level overlooked the fact that Italy is divided into administrative regions which can independently oversee their own share of the Italian National Health Service. Here, we show that heterogeneity between regions is essential to understand the spread of the epidemic and to design effective strategies to control the disease.
