Investigating AVHs narratives through text analysis: the proposal of Dialogic Science for tackling stigmatization.

Background: Auditory verbal hallucinations (AVHs) are a significant symptom of various psychological conditions, often stigmatized and misunderstood. Moving beyond traditional psychological, psychotherapeutic and psychiatric approaches, recent research shifts focus on understanding AVHs through community perspectives and the resulting stigmatization. This research approach is crucial for better support and understanding of AVHs, however it still suffers from the lack of a rigorous and shared methodology for studying and reducing stigma.

Pupils' inclusion as a process of narrative interactions: tackling ADHD typification through MADIT methodology.

Background: ADHD is the most common childhood neurodevelopmental disorder. The symptomatology makes the management of ADHD particularly demanding in school, so teachers' training programs have been widely implemented. Nevertheless, these interventions could lead teachers to concentrate on the dysfunctional elements of these students, exposing them to the risk of stigmatisation.

Intervening on Global Emergencies: The Value of Human Interactions for People's Health.

Literature about global emergencies and their impact on people's health underlines the need to improve the social cohesion of human community and the availability of tools to support people and foster community interactions. This paper illustrates research aimed at describing and measuring human interactions in the Veneto community and its changing during the COVID-19 pandemic. 50,000 text occurrences from social media and newspapers about these topics were analyzed between December 2021 and January 2022.

Hyperphenylalaninemias genotyping: Results of over 60 years of history in Lombardy, Italy.

Background: Hyperphenylalaninemias (HPA) are due to several gene mutations, of which the PAH gene is the most frequently involved. Prevalence and incidence of disease vary between populations, with genotype/phenotype correlations not always capable to correctly predict disease severity. The aim of this study was to give an overview of PAH mutations among one of the largest cohort of patients among Europe, born in Lombardy (Italy) starting from late 1970 s and including over a 60 years of activity; furthermore, to evaluate and discuss identified genotype/phenotype correlations and related reliability.

Managing the Consequences of Oncological Major Surgery: A Short- and Medium-Term Skills Assessment Proposal for Patient and Caregiver through M.A.D.I.T. Methodology.

The effects of cancer surgery and treatment harm patients' life and working ability: major causes of this can be intensified by the postoperative symptoms. This study, the first part of the HEAGIS project (Health and Employment after Gastrointestinal Surgery), proposes a method to assess patients and caregivers' competences in dealing with postoperative course and the related needs to improve the adequate competences. In this observational study, an ad hoc structured interview was conducted with 47 patients and 15 caregivers between the third and fifteenth postoperative day.
