- The COVID-19 pandemic significantly altered the labor market, forcing companies to evaluate different work models (in-person, remote, or hybrid) without clear scientific guidance on infection risks.
- An observational study was conducted to assess the impact of hybrid work arrangements versus fully remote work on COVID-19 infection rates among employees in a non-healthcare company, using data from September 2020 to April 2021.
- Findings showed that while the infection incidence in the study population was higher than in the general population of Madrid, no statistically significant differences were found between the different work arrangements regarding the risk of COVID-19 infection.
