The current systematic review appraises the effectiveness of the types of tooth movements performed with Invisalign clear aligner on the maxillary incisors. An electronic literature search of published trials was performed through PubMed, LILACS, Scopus, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science databases, and selected journals, from 2009 to 2020. Out of 291 references, five relevant publications were identified for analysis: four studies were performed retrospectively and one prospectively, all non-randomized.

Background: To explore the relationship between individual skeletal maturity as assessed by Cervical Vertebral Maturity method (CVM), circum-pubertal phases of the dentition (early mixed, intermediate mixed, late mixed and early permanent) and chronlogical age in a cohort of Portuguese individuals.

Material And Methods: This was a retrospective cross-sectional study. The sample comprised 300 Caucasian Portuguese subjects aged 6 to 16 years, (137 boys and 163 girls).

This study compared the performance of two statistical location-aware pictogram prediction mechanisms, with an all-purpose (All) pictogram prediction mechanism, having no location knowledge. The All approach had a unique language model under all locations. One of the location-aware alternatives, the location-specific (Spec) approach, made use of specific language models for pictogram prediction in each location of interest.
