Importance: Retrieval strategies for children, adolescents, and young adults with relapsed classic Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) aim to maintain efficacy while minimizing long-term toxic effects. Children, adolescents, and young adults with low-risk, relapsed cHL may benefit from replacing high-dose chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplant with less intensive involved-site radiotherapy (ISRT).
Objective: To evaluate a risk-stratified, response-adapted, transplant-free approach for treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults with low-risk relapsed cHL with nivolumab plus brentuximab vedotin (BV) followed by BV plus bendamustine for patients with suboptimal response and ISRT (30.
Importance: Pediatric cancer care services in high-income nations are mainly centralized in metropolitan cities. To allow treatments closer to home, patients across Ontario, Canada, a geographically large province, are offered decentralized care via satellite clinics; however, it is unclear whether the utilization of these pediatric oncology satellite clinics differs by area-level sociodemographic factors.
Objective: To examine whether sociodemographic factors, such as area-level income and rurality, are independently associated with the odds of satellite clinic visit and the hazards of time to first visit among pediatric oncology patients receiving cancer treatment.
Background: Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is a common cause of hospitalisation in infants worldwide, causing significant morbidity and mortality. Recently, the antiviral treatment, Ziresovir, has shown promising results in a Phase III trial conducted on infants hospitalised with RSV. Based on these topline results, this study aims to investigate the cost-effectiveness of Ziresovir in the United Kingdom (UK).

A major challenge in the further development of nucleoside analogues for therapeutic applications is access to scalable and environmentally sustainable synthetic strategies. This study uses the type II nucleoside 2'-deoxyribosyltransferase from (NDT-2) to prepare a suite of ribonucleoside analogues using naturally-occurring uridine and cytidine sugar donors.

Methods: We used a Bayesian framework to fit a deterministic age-structured dynamic transmission model of RSV to sentinel surveillance and RSV-specific hospitalisation data in Germany from 2015 to 2019.
Influenza vaccine effectiveness and immunogenicity can be compromised with repeated vaccination. We assessed immunological markers in a cohort of healthcare workers (HCW) from six public hospitals around Australia during 2020-2021. Sera were collected pre-vaccination and ~14 and ~ 180 days post-vaccination and assessed in haemagglutination inhibition assay against egg-grown vaccine and equivalent cell-grown viruses.

A forum of radiation oncology lymphoma leaders from the National Clinical Trials Network groups (NRG Oncology, Children's Oncology Group, SWOG Cancer Research Network, Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group-American College of Radiology Imaging Network Cancer Research Group, and the Canadian Cancer Trials Group) was convened and established standardised nomenclature for these volumes in the autumn of 2024. Involved-site radiotherapy includes the full cranial-caudal extent of prechemotherapy disease and takes into account axial anatomical changes only.

Rapid assessment of the effects of these exposures on neutralising antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 infection is crucial for informing vaccine strategy and epidemic management. We aimed to investigate heterogeneity in individual-level and population-level antibody kinetics to emerging variants by previous SARS-CoV-2 exposure history, to examine implications for real-time estimation, and to examine the effects of vaccine-campaign timing.

Patients And Methods: This study followed PRISMA-DTA. A systematic search was conducted on major medical literature databases up to March 1, 2024.

Evolution can occur over ecological timescales, suggesting a potentially important role for rapid evolution in shaping community trait distributions. However, evidence of concordant eco-evolutionary dynamics often comes from in vitro studies of highly simplified communities, and measures of ecological and evolutionary dynamics are rarely directly comparable. Here, we quantified how ecological species sorting and rapid evolution simultaneously shape community trait distributions by tracking within- and between-species changes in a key trait in a complex bacterial community.

Bronchoscopic MWA is under development and evaluation in the clinical setting. We previously reported on the development of a bronchoscopy-guided MWA system integrated with clinical virtual bronchoscopy and navigation and demonstrated the feasibility of transbronchial MWA, using a maximum power of 60 W at the catheter input.

We hypothesized that the presence of specific gene mutations may predict outcomes. We performed targeted sequencing of a 69-gene panel in 117 limited-stage FL patients treated with radiotherapy and identified recurrently mutated genes.

However, Phase III trial results and observational studies underscore differences in efficacy across vaccine technologies and dosing regimens. Notably, mRNA vaccines have exhibited superior effectiveness compared to Adenovirus (AdV) vaccines, especially with extended dosing intervals.

Study Design: Randomized, crossover design without washout.
Animals: Twelve healthy, female white Landrace pigs.
Little is known about SARS-CoV-2 infection risk in African countries with high levels of infection-driven immunity and low vaccine coverage. We conducted a prospective cohort study of 349 participants from 52 households in The Gambia between March 2021 and June 2022, with routine weekly SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR and 6-monthly SARS-CoV-2 serology. Attack rates of 45% and 57% were seen during Delta and Omicron BA.

Currently available methods of ventilation do not account for the intermittent breathing strategy of representative species within this infraorder of fully aquatic mammals and may have a significant effect on cardiac and respiratory physiology.
Methods: To understand the impact of mechanical ventilation on cardiopulmonary function in one small species of cetacean, the bottlenose dolphin (), we compared controlled mechanical ventilation (CMV) to a novel ventilation method known as apneustic anesthesia ventilation (AAV).
Women with disability experience higher rates of family and domestic violence (FDV) compared to the rest of the population. There is limited research into how workers in FDV and disability organizations respond to violence against women with disability. Using a case study vignette of a woman with disability disclosing FDV, this phenomenological study explored how 10 employees across the disability and FDV sectors respond to disclosures of abuse, the barriers that influenced their response, and suggested ways to improve their practices.
