Aim: To investigate the natural progression of SGCE-associated myoclonus dystonia from symptom onset in childhood to early adulthood.
Method: Myoclonus and dystonia were monitored using rating scales in two cohorts of participants from Spain and the Netherlands. Individual annualized rates of change were calculated and longitudinal trends were assessed using Bayesian mixed models.
Objective: To assess whether targeted magnetic resonance of one or both of the progenitors could refine the diagnosis in cases of fetal brain anomalies with uncertain prognosis.
Methods: Single-center retrospective case series, where targeted magnetic resonance was performed on one or both of progenitors after a suspicion of fetal complex brain anomalies, and prognosis was unclear based solely on fetal tests (neurosonogram, fetal magnetic resonance, and genetic testing).
Results: Seven women were included.
Objective: Biallelic titin truncating variants (TTNtv) have been associated with a wide phenotypic spectrum, ranging from complex prenatal muscle diseases with dysmorphic features to adult-onset limb-girdle muscular dystrophy, with or without cardiac involvement. Given the size and complexity of TTN, reaching an unequivocal molecular diagnosis and precise disease prognosis remains challenging.
Methods: In this case series, 12 unpublished cases and one already published case with biallelic TTNtv were collected from multiple international medical centers between November 2022 and September 2023.
Background: Defects in GNAO1, the gene encoding the major neuronal G-protein Gαo, are related to neurodevelopmental disorders, epilepsy, and movement disorders. Nevertheless, there is a poor understanding of how molecular mechanisms explain the different phenotypes.

Objective: The postsynaptic density protein of excitatory neurons PSD-95 is encoded by discs large MAGUK scaffold protein 4 (DLG4), de novo pathogenic variants of which lead to DLG4-related synaptopathy. The major clinical features are developmental delay, intellectual disability (ID), hypotonia, sleep disturbances, movement disorders, and epilepsy. Background: Transition from child-centered to adult-centered healthcare is a gradual process that addresses the medical, psychological, and educational needs of young people in the management of their autonomy in making decisions about their health and their future clinical assistance. This transfer is challenging across all chronic diseases but can be particularly arduous in rare neurological conditions.
Aim: To describe the current practice on the transition process for young patients in centers participating in the European Reference Network for Rare Neurological Diseases (ERN-RND).
Nowadays, the measurement of respiratory dynamics is underrated at clinical setting and in the daily life of a subject and it still represents a challenge from a technical and medical point of view.
