[New reimbursement criteria for vitamin D measurements: what about our migrant patients?].

Vitamin D deficiency is a global health burden, which has been subject to debate in recent years. Although its consequences on patients' general health are debatable, the association between severe vitamin D deficiency and osteomalacia are clearly established. Since the 1st of July 2022, blood testing in individuals who do not meet the recognized risk factors for deficiency is no longer reimbursed in Switzerland.
