We demonstrate a multi-photon excitation (MPE) scheme for luminescence thermometry using ScVO:Bi. MPE is performed using a 37 fs Ti:sapphire laser pulse centered at 800 nm. Log-log plots of the phosphorescence intensity versus excitation power show that the 800 nm MPE of ScVO:Bi involves a 2- and 3-photon absorption process in comparison with a single-photon excitation (SPE) process at 266 and 400 nm.

We employ dual-probe one-dimensional (1D) femtosecond (fs)/picosecond (ps) hybrid rotational coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (HRCARS) to investigate simultaneous temperature, pressure, and / measurements for gas-phase diagnostics. The dual-probe HRCARS technique allows for simultaneous measurements from the time and frequency-domain. A novel approach for measuring pressure, which offers high accuracy (<1) and precision (0.

In this paper, three ultrashort-pulse coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (CARS) thermometry approaches are summarized with a theoretical time-domain model. The difference between the approaches can be attributed to variations in the input field characteristics of the time-domain model. That is, all three approaches of ultrashort-pulse (CARS) thermometry can be simulated with the unified model by only changing the input fields features.
