Compositional engineering of a mixed cation/mixed halide perovskite in the form of (FAPbI)(MAPbBr) is one of the most effective strategies to obtain record-efficiency perovskite solar cells. However, the perovskite self-organization upon crystallization and the final elemental distribution, which are paramount for device optimization, are still poorly understood. Here we map the nanoscale charge carrier and elemental distribution of mixed perovskite films yielding 20% efficient devices.

Isotopic analysis is of paramount importance across the entire gamut of scientific research. To advance the frontiers of knowledge, a technique for nanoscale isotopic analysis is indispensable. Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS) is a well-established technique for analyzing isotopes, but its spatial-resolution is fundamentally limited.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to determine the most effective mountain rescue casualty bag for cold and windy conditions by testing three different bags with male subjects.
  • Eleven male participants were tested in -10°C and wind speeds of 3.0 m/s, with measurements taken on core and skin temperatures, heart rate, and subjective cold perception.
  • Results indicated that while all bags were ineffective at providing warmth, Bag 2 was the least protective, and comparisons between Bags 1 and 3 showed mixed performance in temperature control and comfort levels.
