Background: CommandEP™ is a mixed reality (MXR) system for cardiac electrophysiological (EP) procedures that provides a real-time 3-dimensional digital image of cardiac geometry and catheter locations. In a previous study, physicians using the system demonstrated improved navigational accuracy. This study investigated the impact of the CommandEP system on EP procedural times compared to the standard-of-care electroanatomic mapping system (EAMS) display.

Biophysically based computational models of nerve fibers are important tools for designing electrical stimulation therapies, investigating drugs that affect ion channels, and studying diseases that affect neurons. Although peripheral nerves are primarily composed of unmyelinated axons (i.e.

Compact high-resolution panel detectors using virtual pinhole (VP) PET geometry can be inserted into existing clinical or pre-clinical PET systems to improve regional spatial resolution and sensitivity. Here we describe a compact panel PET detector built using the new Though Silicon Via (TSV) multi-pixel photon counters (MPPC) detector. This insert provides high spatial resolution and good timing performance for multiple bio-medical applications.
