Background: Management of osteochondral defects of the talus remains a challenge, and many lesions do not respond to traditional treatments. The use of fresh allografts is a promising alternative.
Methods: A freehand inlay surgical technique for reconstructing osteochondral defects of the talus with fresh osteochondral allografts fixated with bioresorbable chondral darts is described.
Statistically, metastasis of carcinomas to pedal phalanges is rare. However, true to all bone metastases of the body, its presence is associated with a very poor prognosis. A case of metastatic sinonasal squamous cell carcinoma to the fifth toe is presented followed by a review of the literature.
