Characteristics of COVID-19 Myocarditis With and Without Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome.

Multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS) is a severe complication described in a minority of patients with COVID-19. Myocarditis has been reported in patients with COVID-19, including MIS. In this study, we compared the clinical characteristics and cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) findings of COVID-19 myocarditis in patients with and without MIS.

Bidirectional Inferior Cavopulmonary Anastomosis: Pre-Fontan Interim Palliation.

We report a novel method of constructing an extracardiac bidirectional inferior cavopulmonary anastomosis. Our patient was a 4-month-old girl with complex single-ventricle anatomy and a small-caliber superior vena cava. A direct anastomosis from the inferior vena cava to the main pulmonary artery was constructed by using all autologous tissue.
