[The obstetrics and gynaecology departments in the French public hospitals: an updated overview].

Restructuring the surgery and gynecology-obstetrics departments taking place now raise many interrogations. It appears as a mandatory necessity to some people and as a tribute to financial strategies to others to the detriment of quality and accessibility of care. Its effect is to clarify a good amount of socioeconomical and medical indicators.

[Hepatic involvement in the course of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome].

The authors report the case of hepatic damage with a favorable outcome, occurring during severe ovarian stimulation which had anatomico-clinical features which distinguished it from the three cases previously reported due to its exclusively cytolytic nature and the histological lesions produced. The physiopathological mechanisms involved are discussed.

[Significance of intravenous immunoglobulins to the neonate born of a mother with idiopathic thrombopenic purpura].

High dose gammaglobulin therapy for pregnant women with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura may be suitable for both mother and foetus during pregnancy. A newborn with severe thrombocytopenia secondary to maternal illness, was treated successfully by intravenous gammaglobulin, without toxicity. In such a case, we believe the platelet count is not the only criterion for starting immunoglobulin therapy.
