Dengue virus, an arbovirus from the genus Flavivirus in the family Flaviviridae, forms a nucleocapsid structure through interactions between its genome and multiple copies of the capsid protein. Experimental studies have confirmed the interaction between the viral capsid protein and lipid droplets, indicating a protein-lipid interaction. Nanocomposite flexible polyurethane foams (nFPUfs) were obtained by modifying the polyurethane formulation by adding a halloysite nano-filler in the amount of one to five parts by weight per hundred parts of used polyol (php). Flexible polyurethane (PU) foams with an open-cell structure and with a beneficial SAG factor were obtained. Premixes with nano-filler had a lower reactivity than the reference PU system.

Liquid biopsy with sequencing of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is a minimally invasive method for sampling body fluids and offers a promising alternative to tissue biopsies that involve greater risks, costs, and time. ctDNA not only identifies actionable targets by revealing unique molecular signatures in cancer, but also may assess treatment response, treatment resistance and progression, and recurrence. Microbiome studies generate multivariate compositional responses, such as taxa counts, which are strictly non-negative, bounded, residing within a simplex, and subject to unit-sum constraint. In presence of covariates (which can be moderate to high dimensional), they are popularly modeled via the Dirichlet-Multinomial (D-M) regression framework. In this paper, we consider a Bayesian approach for estimation and inference under a D-M compositional framework, and present a comparative evaluation of some state-of-the-art continuous shrinkage priors for efficient variable selection to identify the most significant associations between available covariates, and taxonomic abundance.

Background: We initially reported on the cost-effectiveness of a 6-month randomized controlled implementation trial which evaluated Health TAPESTRY, a primary care program for older adults, at the McMaster Family Health Team (FHT) site and 5 other FHT sites in Ontario, Canada. While there were no statistically significant between-group differences in outcomes at month 6 post randomization, positive outcomes were observed at the McMaster FHT site, which recruited 40% (204/512) of the participants. The objective of this post-hoc study was to determine the cost-effectiveness of Health TAPESTRY based on data from the McMaster FHT site.
