Background: This study aims to deliver more insights on the impact of neoadjuvant treatment on Pd-L1 expression and to evaluate its correlation with clinicopathological factors.
Methods: We reviewed 88 TNBC cases for the period 2021-2023. Data on age, tumor size, stage, and treatment were collected.
Spermatogenesis is a process that continues until the end of an individual's life, although with reduced activity with advancing age. Inflammation, oxidation, and apoptosis are events considered as predictors of pathogenesis and the development of age-related diseases observed in aged testes. The use of natural compounds with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties has a beneficial effect on the inflammatory and oxidative status of the aged testis.

This is considered as a precondition for the development of obesity, inflammation, and obesity-related disorders. Therefore, we studied HFD-induced changes in the tissue levels of the inflammatory markers C-reactive protein, serum amyloid-A, and interleukin-4 in healthy male Wistar rats.

However, the exact mechanisms of their action are not yet well understood. The molecular masses of components in the hemolymph fraction with MW 50-100 kDa from were determined using ImageQuant™ TL v8.

Abstract.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe aim of the study is to evaluate the effect of fruit juice (AMJ) supplementation on age-related coronary arteries remodeled in aged rat hearts. Male Wistar rats (n = 24) were divided into three groups: (1) young controls (CY), aged 2 months, without AMJ supplementation; (2) old controls (CO), aged 27 months, without AMJ supplementation; and (3) the AMJ group (A), which used 27-month old animals, supplemented orally with AMJ for 105 days. AMJ supplementation did not influence the wall-to-diameter parameter (Kernohan index) of the coronary arteries of test animals.

Information regarding the mechanisms, effective concentration, and methods of application is an important tool for therapeutic, financial, and ecological regulation and a holistic approach to medical treatment. A peptide fraction with MW < 10 kDa was analyzed by MALDI-TOF-TOF using Autoflex™ III.

One of the sources of such active compounds is the snail mucus. Snail physiology and the biological activity of their fluids (especially the mucus) are still poorly studied.

(AM) fruits are a rich source of phenolic compounds possessing lipid-modulating effects. The present study investigated the effect of 3-month supplementation of AM-based functional beverages on the lipid profile of healthy aging rats.

The garden snail is a rich source of biologically active natural substances that might be an important source for new drugs to treat human disease. Based on our previous studies, nine fractions containing compounds with Mw <3 kDa; <10 kDa; <20 kDa; >20 kDa; >30 kDa>50 kDa and between 3 and 5 kDa; 5 and 10 kDa; and 10 and 30 kDa were purified from the mucus of and analyzed by tandem mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF/TOF).

Obesity-related inflammation appears to be a different type of inflammation, mainly due to excessive food intake and unusual homeostasis. It can be evaluated by measuring the concentration of pro- and anti-inflammatory marker molecules – C-reactive protein (CRP), serum amyloid-A (SAA) and interleukin-4.

Elliot juice (AMJ) on learning ability and memory, and brain morphology of aged rats. A model of healthy male Wistar rats (24 months of age) divided in 2 groups was used: AMJ group supplemented orally with AMJ (10 mL/kg for 105 days) and old control (CO) group without supplementation.

When exposed to severe drought stress, shows an ability to maintain the structural integrity of its photosynthetic apparatus, which re-activates easily upon rehydration. We present here the results from the assembly and annotation of the chloroplast (cp) genome of , which was further subjected to comparative analysis with the cp genomes of closely related species.

The biodetoxification and mechanisms of degradation of many xenobiotics have been studied and are well documented. There remains the important issue of the impact of nanomodulators on biodetoxification processes and their potential to optimize and regulate biodegradation of recalcitrant xenobiotics.

Age-related diseases are a social problem of global significance and their prevention by natural products is a research area of particular interest. The present study is an approach to counteract the risk factors for atherosclerosis arising in the aging process by supplementation of chokeberry juice. It employed a model of healthy adult rats monitored for a number of somatometric, serum lipidogram, and histopathological parameters, related to risk factors and their response to supplementation with antioxidant-rich chokeberry juice.

The influence of mercury on the transformation processes in the waters and the sediments in the reservoir of a small hydroelectric power plant (SHPP) Lakatnik was simulated in laboratory conditions. SHPP Lakatnik is the first (of nine similar) SHPPs put into exploitation in the middle part of the Iskar River (Bulgaria). In previous studies of the sediments in the reservoir of SHPP Lakatnik, our team found high concentrations of mercury, sometimes exceeding maximum concentration limit (MCL).

The authors describe indications for usage of venous administrations by means of the infusion pump IP 2-50 in newborns, pregnant women and parturients as well as during feeding of the smallest preterm infants with the same pump. Advantages and disadvantages of IP 2-50 are presented in comparison with the perfusion pumps "Braun Melsungen" and "Lineomat". Nosologic units are described, in which infusions with IP 2-50 are applied.

Dehydronantenine, corydine, predicentrine and isoboldine were detected by means of a thin-layer chromatography. Two other alkaloids - (+)-tetrahydrocorysamine and (-)-cavidine, were identified on the basis of their spectral data.
