We hypothesized that cerebellar transcranial direct current stimulation (ctDCS) of the dentate nuclei and the lower-limb representations in the cerebellum can improve functional reach during standing balance in chronic (>6 months' post-stroke) stroke survivors.

Bidirectional promoters (BDPs) are regulatory DNA sequences (~1000 bp long) intervening two genes arranged on opposite strands with their 5' ends in close proximity. These genes are mostly co-expressed; but, instances of anti-correlation and independent transcription have been observed. All-optical tuning of the resonance of an optical cavity is used to realise optical signal-processing including modulation, switching, and signal-routing. The tuning of optical resonance is dictated by the two primary effects induced by optical absorption: charge-carrier-generation and heat-generation. Introduction: [Lu]Lu-DOTA-Ahx-Lys40-Exendin-4 ([Lu]Lu-DOTA-Exendin-4) is a potential agent for radiotherapy of insulinomas owing to its specificity towards GLP-1 (Glucagon like peptide-1) receptors over-expressed on such cancers. The objective of the present study is to optimize the various radiochemistry parameters for the consistent formulation of the agent with high radiolabeling yield using carrier added [Lu]LuCl and also to evaluate its biological behaviour in small animal model.

A green chemistry approach has been developed for the synthesis of chromene dihydropyrimidinone (CDHPM) using recyclable Fe/Al pillared clay catalyst. Pharmacokinetic parameters like aqueous solubility, lipophilicity, P-glycoprotein (P-gp) ATPase activity, permeability, plasma protein binding, red blood cell (RBC) partitioning, metabolic stability in liver microsomes and in silico computations have been studied for the most potent anticancer chromene dihydropyrimidinone hybrid 1. This compound exhibited low solubility, optimum lipophilicity, no P-gp inhibitory activity, intermediate permeability, high plasma protein binding, low RBC partitioning, acceptable metabolic stability in rat liver microsomes (RLM) as well as human liver microsomes (HLM) with transitional hepatic extraction ratio.
