An Altered Ratio of CD4+ And CD8+ T Lymphocytes in Cervical Cancer Tissues and Peripheral Blood – A Prognostic Clue?

Background : Several studies have provided evidence of CD4+ and CD8+ lymphocyte infiltration in various malignancies with probable implications for prognosis. Cervical cancer accounts for a major part of the cancer burden in the developing world. Study of genetically and ethnically diverse Indian cervical cancer patients is necessary to assess effects on lymphocytic infiltration of tumour tissue.

Bone metastasis.

Rectal cancers may rarely metastasize in bone and when it occurs, is usually preceded by lung and/or liver metastasis. However, whether it may ever bypasses other organs, particularly lung and liver and metastasizes directly to bone or not, is debatable. Some authors have described the presence of isolated bone metastasis from colo-rectal cancers, whereas others have questioned its' existence in the absence of lung or liver metastasis.

Small cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder: a case report and review of the literature.

Small cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder is extremely rare. In this report, a case of non-metastatic small cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder treated by systemic chemotherapy followed by adjuvant external radiotherapy, with a brief review of the epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, pathological features, staging, treatment and prognosis about this neoplasm is reported. A 53 years old man attended with sign and symptoms suggestive of a bladder cancer.

Mucosa associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma of lung: a case report.

Mucosa associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma is a rare disease particularly when occurring in the lungs. In 1983, Issacson and Wright first described it as a distinct clinicopathological entity. A 39-year-old woman was suffering from mucosa associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma of the lung and was treated with moderate dose radiotherapy only.
