Purpose: Ruptured blood blisters (BBA) and very small, wide necked aneurysms (VSA) remain challenging lesions to treat due to their small size, wide necks, and thin, fragile walls. In the present study, we reviewed our experience with these aneurysms treated by flow diversion.

Methods: A total of 18 patients with hemorrhage due to a ruptured BBAs and VSAs, treated with flow diversion between July 2014 and March 2016 were included in this study.

We report three patients who deteriorated after lumbar puncture (LP). Two patients were later found to have type іі (a + b) dural arteriovenous fistulas (DAVF) with high flow retrograde venous drainage on cerebral angiography. The third had a type II (a) DAVF.

Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated antigen-4 (CTLA-4) has an inhibitory function on T cells and is critical for the induction of peripheral tolerance. CTLA-4 +49 G allele affects the CTLA-4 function and has been reported to be correlated with a higher risk of various autoimmune diseases including type 1 diabetes (T1D). The present study was conducted to investigate the association between the polymorphism of the CTLA-4 exon 1+49 A/G and susceptibility to TID and type 2 diabetes (T2D) in Kurds living in Iranian Kurdistan.
