Purpose: To explore the feasibility of Deep learning radiomics nomograms (DLRN) in predicting IDH genotype.

Methods: A total of 402 glioma patients from two independent centers were retrospectively included, and the data from center I was randomly divided into a training cohort (n = 239) and an internal validation cohort (n = 103) on a 7:3 basis. Center II served as an independent external validation cohort (n = 60).

Article Synopsis
  • Accurate assessment of IDH mutation status in glioma patients is critical for treatment planning and predicting outcomes; this study focuses on using MRI to differentiate between astrocytoma and glioblastoma based on IDH status.
  • The study involved 80 glioma patients and utilized synthetic MRI scans alongside immunohistochemistry or gene sequencing to determine IDH mutation status; histogram metrics from the MRI were compared with radiological features.
  • Results showed that IDH-mutant astrocytoma patients had different MRI metrics (e.g., lower T1 values and higher post-contrast T1 values) compared to IDH-wildtype glioblastoma patients, leading to a combined model that could improve diagnostic accuracy.

Cytochrome P450 oxidoreductase (POR) is the primary electron donor in eukaryotic cytochrome P450 (CYP) containing systems. A wealth of ensemble biophysical studies of Cytochrome P450 oxidoreductase (POR) has reported a binary model of the conformational equilibrium directing its catalytic efficiency and biomolecular recognition. In this study, full length POR from the crop plant Sorghum bicolor was site-specifically labeled with Cy3 (donor) and Cy5 (acceptor) fluorophores and reconstituted in nanodiscs.

Magneto-phosphorescent d-f coordination polymer nanoparticles (f-CPPs) were conveniently synthesized by phosphorescent carboxyl-functionalized iridium complexes as building blocks and magnetic Gd(III) ions as metallic nodes. They reveal uniform hollow spheres with an average diameter of around 60 nm and wall thickness of about 10 nm. Water soluble f-CPPs were obtained by polyvinylpyrolidone modification (denoted as f-CPPs@PVP), which had an intense red phosphorescence, moderate longitudinal relaxivity (r(1)) and low cytotoxicity.
