This paper presents a method of postural symmetry evaluation implementing the so-called follow-up posturography. The method boils down to the assessment of similarity of the phase approximation of the counter-clockwise follow-up CoP (Center of Pressure) trajectory and the mirror image against the y-axis of the phase approximation corresponding to the clockwise follow-up CoP trajectory. The usability of the presented approach was tested on the data collected in the group of 30 patients rehabilitated after total hip arthroplasty.

The standard rehabilitation program was supplemented with the lower limb loading symmetry training based on the follow-up posturography with an adaptively modified visual biofeedback, performed on a double plate posturographic platform.
Methods: The research involved 60 randomly selected patients included in prospective and comparative clinical study in the scheme of the parallel groups.
Unlabelled: The aim of the study was to assess the risk of intraoperative difficulties, conversion and biliary-intestinal fistula during laparoscopic cholecystectomy on the basis of an ultrasound-measured gall-bladder wall thickness.
Material And Methods: A prospective study was conducted in 50 patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy for chronic gallstone-induced cholecystitis. To calculate the relationships between categorical variables, a chi-square (χ2) independence test was used, and the results were interpreted for the significance threshold of α = 0.
Gastrointestinal (GI) motility is governed by enteric nervous system being under surveillance of central and autonomic representation. In Parkinson's disease (PD) GI dysmotility has been attributed in part to peripheral action of neurotoxines. We evaluated the effect of chronic salsolinol administration on intestinal myoelectrical activity (IMA) during fasting and in response to gastric distension (GD) in rats.
