Objective: The purpose of this study is to assess the increase both in the use of the Internet and social media and in Google searches regarding eating disorders (ED) in Italy during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our aim is also to verify the possible impact of such an increase on ED, since patients treated for ED by the National Health Service (NHS) have increased in the first 6 months of 2020 as well.

Method: We used data from Wearesocial surveys on Internet users in the first 6 months of 2020 and the Google searches related to the query of "food disorders" and "body shaming.

We have developed a new coastal database for the Mediterranean basin that is intended for coastal impact and adaptation assessment to sea-level rise and associated hazards on a regional scale. The data structure of the database relies on a linear representation of the coast with associated spatial assessment units. Gallium-68 DOTA-peptide positron emission tomography/computed tomography (Ga-PET/CT) has emerged as a promising tool for the diagnosis and staging of gastro-entero-pancreatic neoplasms, thanks to its high sensitivity and specificity. Heterotopic pancreas, which is relatively rare, has never been reported as a possible cause of false positives of Ga-PET/CT. We report on the first case of a heterotopic pancreas showing pathological uptake at Ga-PET/CT, thus mimicking an intestinal neuroendocrine tumor.

The incidence of gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms has increased in the recent decades. An extensive bibliographical search was performed in PubMed to identify guidelines and primary literature (retrospective and prospective studies, systematic reviews, case series) published mostly between year 1997 and June 2017, using both medical subject heading (MeSH) terms and free-language keywords about the accuracy and diagnostic and therapeutic role of endoscopic ultrasound in the context of gastro-entero-pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms. Endoscopic ultrasound is the modality of choice for diagnosing pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms and for the locoregional staging of gastric, duodenal, pancreatic and rectal neuroendocrine neoplasms; in particular, in the setting of pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms it has demonstrated higher accuracy in tumor detection than other imaging modalities.
