This study employed advanced spectroscopic techniques to investigate the structural and optical properties of chitosan (CS) biopolymer films modified with natural dyes from Cosmos Sulphureus Cav. (CSC) flowers. FTIR results indicated that the inclusion of CSC dyes led to broader absorbance and decreased transmittance.

We report the synthesis and extensive characterization of Diazepane and Oxazepane derivatives, followed by their biological evaluation. These compounds were assessed for in vitro and in vivo antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer activities. Among the synthesized molecules, compound 5b demonstrated remarkable antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis with MIC values of 20 and 40 μg/mL, respectively.

The current study employed a novel approach to design polymer composites with modified structural and declined optical band gaps. In this study, conducting polymers composed of polyaniline hydrochloric acid (PANI/HCl) with varying concentrations of a newly synthesized azo-azomethine dye (4-(((Z)-2-hydroxy-5-((Z)-(4-hydroxyphenyl)diazenyl)-3-methoxybenzylidene)amino)benzoic acid) were synthesized using a chemical oxidative polymerization technique. The synthesized azo-azomethine was characterized by FTIR, H-NMR, C-NMR, and HRMS. The effects of varying the concentration of the dopant azo-azomethine in PANI/HCl on its optical, structural, thermal, and electrical properties were examined using FTIR, UV-Vis, XRD, FESEM, TEM, cyclic voltammetry, and electrical impedance spectra.

This study investigates the performance of biopolymer electrolytes based on chitosan and dextran for energy storage applications. The optimization of ion transport and performance of electric double-layer capacitors EDCL using these electrolytes, incorporating different concentrations of glycerol as a plasticizer and TiO as nanoparticles, is explored. Impedance measurements indicate a notable reduction in charge transfer resistance with the addition of TiO.

In this work, Schiff bases and Thiazolidin-4-ones, were synthesized using Sonication and Microwave techniques, respectively. The Schiff base derivatives () were synthesized the reaction of Sulfathiazole () with benzaldehyde derivatives (), followed by the synthesis of 4-thiazoledinone () derivatives by cyclizing the synthesized Schiff bases through thioglycholic acid. All the synthesized compounds were characterized by spectroscopic techniques such as FT IR, NMR and HRMS.
