Polyaromatics, as the assembly of diverse cyclic π-systems, exhibit unique physicochemical properties when compared to their individual constituents. In this study, we developed a strategic connection of two azacycles via a furan bridge through a defluorinative diazolation-cyclization reaction of trifluoromethyl enones and N-heterocycles. A range of modular 2,4-furan-bridged triheterocycles (FBTHs), featuring a C3-trifluoromethyl group, was synthesized with broad substrate scope and good regioselectivity under transition metal-free conditions.

The content of gallic acid (GA) is positively correlated with the quality grade of tea. Here, we developed a colorimetric method based on raspberry-like N-doped MnO nanospheres (N-MnO NSs) with oxidase-like activity for GA assay. The spleen is postulated to be a hematopoietic tissue in adult fish; however, clear evidence is still lacking to define its role in hematopoietic activity. In our previous study, a congenitally asplenic zebrafish was generated though gene editing, which provided a new perspective for studying the role of fish spleen in hematopoiesis. Monitoring l-cysteine (l-Cys) is of importance for human health and food safety. Herein, we designed a novel strategy for bimetallic Au and Ag/AgCl anchoring on Ni-doped ZIF-67 to form core-shell nanocubes (Ni-ZIF-67/AuAg/AgCl) using the galvanic replacement processes.
