In this study, we examined plant C:N:P stoichiometry of herbaceous plants in different sections (stable area, unstable area and deposition area) of the unstable slope on both shade and sunny aspects of dry-hot valley with different soil properties. The results showed that C concentration (320.59 g·kg), N concentration (12.

A total of 278 BnWRKYs were identified and analyzed. Ectopic expression of BnWRKY149 and BnWRKY217 suggests that they function in the ABA signaling pathway. WRKY transcription factors play an important role in plant development, however, their function in Brassica napus L.

Chemoreception plays an important role in insects for sensing information when searching for host and oviposition sites. An understanding of the chemosensory mechanism could aid in the development of new methods to effectively prevent damage from insects in agriculture. We have constructed a legs cDNA library for Apolygus lucorum and sequenced 1584 ESTs, from which we identified 669 unigenes.

A novel genic male sterile (GMS) line in Brassica napus L., which was identified in 1999, was found to be controlled by a monogenic dominant gene, which we have designated as MDGMS. The microspores of the MDGMS abort before the degradation of the tapetal cell layer.

Bulked segregant analysis (BSA) was used to identify randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers linked to the MS gene in mono-dominant GMS of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.), which was bred by Hybrid Rapeseed Research Center of Shaanxi Province. A total of 300 random 10-mer oligonucleotide primers were screened on the DNA from fertile and sterile bulks.
