Background: The main aim of this study was to build an item bank for assessing the care quality of multi-professional healthcare centers (MPHCC) from the perspective of patients with multimorbidity. This study was part of the QUALSOPRIM (QUALité des SOins PRIMaires; primary healthcare quality) research project to create a psychometrically robust self-administered questionnaire to assess healthcare quality.

Methods: First, twelve experts built an item bank using data from a previous qualitative work and a systematic literature review.

Changes in Alcohol Consumption after 1 Year of the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Cross-Sectional Study in a Region of France.

Background: There is conflicting evidence on how the COVID-19 pandemic changed patterns of alcohol consumption. While some studies have suggested that alcohol consumption decreased at the beginning of the pandemic, there are limited data for a longer period. The objective of this study was to investigate changes in alcohol consumption 1 year after the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in France, and to identify vulnerable subgroups in a French adult population.

Background: The resurgence of heroin use and the misuse of pharmaceutical opioids are some of the reasons for a worldwide increase in opioid dependence. Opioid Medication Therapies (OMT) have amply demonstrated their efficacy. From a medical point of view, the main objectives of OMT concern medical and social outcomes, centred on risk reduction and the cessation of opioid use.

Improvement of participation rate in colorectal cancer (CRC) screening by training general practitioners in motivational interviewing (AmDepCCR).

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second leading cause of cancer death in France (17,712 annual deaths). However, this cancer is preventable in the majority of cases by the early detection of adenomas. In France, the organized screening for CRC relies on general practitioners (GPs).

Breastfeeding and Readmission for Hyperbilirubinemia in Late Preterm and Term Infants in Beirut, Lebanon.

Objective: To determine whether exclusive breastfeeding is associated with readmission of jaundiced newborns.

Methods: We retrieved medical records of 51 consecutive neonates >35 weeks with jaundice who were readmitted to the hospital, and compared to 164 controls. Data on gender, gestational age, birth weight, mode of delivery, feeding, bilirubin levels and breastfeeding counseling were analyzed.

[Gambling and Internet habits in a French population with addictive disorders seeking treatment: a multicentric study].

Background: Transversal grouping of addictions under the heading "Substance related and addictive disorders" in the DSM-5 has led to a common policy on addictions and the promotion of addiction services covering all types of addictions, including behavioral addictions.

Material And Methods: The main objective of this study was to describe the prevalence of problem gambling in a population of patients seeking treatment in addictive disorders center. Secondary objectives were: to describe the use of Internet and the prevalence of gaming disorder, sexual addiction and compulsive buying online ; to describe a population of patients consulting in addictive disorders center; to explore associated factors related to problem gambling.

Analgesic Opioid Misuse and Opioid Use Disorder among Patients with Chronic Non-Cancer Pain and Prescribed Opioids in a Pain Centre in France.

(1) Background: Chronic non-cancer pain (CNCP) remains a public health challenge around the world. Opioids (PO) have been increasingly used in the treatment of CNCP in the last 20 years. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of opioid misuse and prescribed-opioid use disorder (p-OUD) among patients with CNCP in a pain centre in France, and to analyse risk factors for moderate or severe p-OUD.

What Differs between Patients under Methadone and under Buprenorphine for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) in Daily Clinical Practice in France? A Short Report.

(1) Background: Opioid use disorder (OUD) is a complex condition that can require long-term treatment. Pharmacological therapy for OUD involves treatment with opioid agonists (OMT) tailored to individual profiles. The aim of our study in daily clinical practice was to compare the profiles of patients treated with methadone (MTD) and those using buprenorphine (BHD or BHD-naloxone-NX).

Alcohol use disorders, beverage preferences and the influence of alcohol marketing: a preliminary study.

Background: Alcohol Use Disorders (AUD) are among the most prevalent mental disorders in the world. They are the leading risk factor for premature mortality and disability among 15 to 49-year-olds. Links between alcohol marketing and patterns of alcohol consumption are well defined in adolescents but there is few data on the impact of alcohol marketing on a population of drinkers with an AUD and seeking treatment.

Background: The marketing of alcohol influences patterns of alcohol consumption. Existing studies have focused, for the most part, on adolescents and the links between exposure to marketing and alcohol initiation. In France, the Evin law, a French exception, was set up in 1991 with the aim of regulating this exposure to marketing, but since 2009 it has been severely compromised.

Accuracy of the general practitioner's sense of alarm when confronted with dyspnoea and/or chest pain: a prospective observational study.

Objectives: Dyspnoea and chest pain are symptoms shared with multiple pathologies ranging from the benign to life-threatening diseases. A Gut Feelings Questionnaire (GFQ) has been validated to measure the general practitioner's (GPs) sense of alarm or sense of reassurance. The aim of the study was to estimate the diagnostic test accuracy of GPs' sense of alarm when confronted with dyspnoea and chest pain.

Gut Feelings Questionnaire in daily practice: a feasibility study using a mixed-methods approach in three European countries.

Objectives: The validated Gut Feelings Questionnaire (GFQ) is a 10-item questionnaire based on the definitions of the sense of alarm and the sense of reassurance. The purpose of the GFQ is to determine the presence or absence of gut feelings in the diagnostic reasoning of general practitioners (GPs).The aim was to test the GFQ on GPs, in real practice settings, to check whether any changes were needed to improve feasibility, and to calculate the prevalence of the GPs' sense of alarm and sense of reassurance in three different countries.

The quality of life in genetic neuromuscular disease questionnaire: Rasch validation of the French version.

Introduction: Slowly progressive, genetic neuromuscular diseases (gNMDs) often lead to important motor deficiencies and functional limitations. The Quality of Life in Genetic Neuromuscular Disease Questionnaire (QoL-gNMD) is a new health-related quality-of-life questionnaire developed for these patients. The purpose of the present study was to validate the French version of the QoL-gNMD and to calibrate its measurement system.

Exploring quality of life in people with slowly-progressive neuromuscular disease.

Purpose: A qualitative work is conducted to enable later the construction of a health-related quality of life (HRQL) questionnaire for patients with slowly-progressive neuromuscular disease (NMD) such as myopathies and muscular dystrophies.

Methods: The formation of focus groups is an efficient method to perform an in-depth exploration of the aspects of HRQL potentially impaired by NMD. Patients were recruited in France by 4 NMD reference centers.

Background: Multi-state models become complex when the number of states is large, when back and forth transitions between states are allowed, and when time-dependent covariates are inevitable. However, these conditions are sometimes necessary in the context of medical issues. For instance, they were needed for modelling the future treatments of patients with end-stage renal disease according to age and to various treatments.

Coalition of attitude and practice behaviors among dental practitioners regarding pregnant patient's oral health and pregnant patient's perception toward oral health in and around Pondicherry.

Background: This study aims to evaluate the knowledge, attitude, practice behaviors among general dental practitioners and assess the perception toward oral health by pregnant patients in and around Puducherry.

Methodology: A self-designed and structured questionnaire was used to obtain information from the dental practitioner and the pregnant patients.

Results: The majority of the dental practitioners had a lack of knowledge, attitude, practice behaviors regarding pregnant patient's oral health and similarly majority of pregnant patient's perception toward oral health was poor.

Thus, robotics in medicine is a budding field contributing a great lot to human life from before birth to afterlife in seven forms thus gracefully portraying a scientific rainbow in hospital environment.

Construction of a Quality of Life Questionnaire for slowly progressive neuromuscular disease.

Purpose: To build a questionnaire to assess health-related quality of life (HRQL) in patients suffering from slowly progressive neuromuscular disease (NMD) using item response theory (IRT).

Methods: A pool of 64 items and a validated questionnaire (WHOQOL-BREF) were administered to 159 patients recruited in eight NMD referral centers. Exploratory statistical analysis included methods derived from both IRT and classical test theory.

Repair of the main UV-induced thymine dimeric lesions within Arabidopsis thaliana DNA: evidence for the major involvement of photoreactivation pathways.

The UV-B induced formation of thymine cis-syn cyclobutane dimer and related (6-4) photoproduct was monitored within DNA of cultured cells and plants of Arabidopsis thaliana. This was achieved using a sensitive and accurate HPLC-tandem mass spectrometry assay. It was found that the cyclobutane pyrimidine dimer was formed in a ninefold higher yield than the (6-4) photoproduct.

[Recurrences of supratentorial meningiomas. Apropos of 17 cases].

17 cases of recurrent meningiomas observed during a 10 years period are reviewed. Meningiomas with a second localisation different from the first were excluded from the study. The tumor recurrence occurred mostly during the first five years after the surgical procedure.
