The project's aim is to report a case of Purtscher's retinopathy associated with acute pancreatitis. During the treatment gradual improvement of visual acuity and retina condition have been observed. In the report, the actual views on the pathogenesis of this disease have been discussed.

Material And Methods: The diagnosis of APS was based on the presence of visual lowering, vascular changes and raised levels of antiphospholipid antibodies, deep venous thrombosis and recurrent fetal loss. She suffered from bilateral visual obstructions.

The uveal effusion syndrome typically affects healthy middle age men and causes recurrent, spontaneous, serous retinal and cilio-choroidal detachments which, often results in significant visual impairment. In addition, to the general clinical examinations, indirect ophthalnoscopy, fundus fluorescein angiography, ultrasonography and MRI are used to make definitive diagnosis.
