This integrative review systematized the factors that influence access to mental health services for the Homeless Population (HP) in harmful use of alcohol and other drugs in the Psychosocial Care Network (RAPS) in Brazil by categorizing the factors into access "barriers" and "facilitators". We selected 13 corresponding articles and subsequently assessed their methodological quality. We identified 19 access barriers and 22 access facilitators, observing a convergence and complementarity of the factors identified, with no disagreements between authors.

The Homeless Population (HP) has grown exponentially in the last decade, causing different challenges for the Brazilian Unified Health System, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. A cross-sectional, descriptive, and exploratory study, with triangulated quantitative and qualitative methods, was conducted from 2020 to 2022, exploring care practices geared to the HP in Belo Horizonte. The quantitative stage adopted official datasets from the health and social assistance secretariats, and 48 semi-structured interviews and four focus groups were conducted in the qualitative stage, totaling 86 participants.

Objective: To analyze the scientific production on Advanced Practice Nursing based on dissertations and theses published in Brazil.

Method: A bibliometric study, with a descriptive approach based on documents, carried out in the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel Theses and Dissertations Bank, Scientific Electronic Library Online, Virtual Health Library, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences and institutional repositories, from October to November 2023.

Results: Of the 25 scientific productions identified, 16 are dissertations and nine are theses.

Pentaclethra macroloba is a hyperdominant species with multiple uses in the Amazon. This species tolerates varying flood amplitudes, however the effect of flood topographic gradient on its ecophysiology remains unclear. INhibitor of Growth (ING1-5) proteins are epigenetic readers that target histone acetyltransferase (HAT) or histone deacetylase (HDAC) complexes to the H3K4Me3 mark of active transcription. ING5 targets Moz/Morf and HBO1 HAT complexes that alter acetylation of H3 and H4 core histones, affecting gene expression. The Hog1 stress-activated protein kinase (SAPK) is a key mediator of stress resistance and virulence in Candida albicans. From January 2000 to December 2023 the Laboratory of Animal Pathology of the Federal University of Campina Grande received 6,218 canine autopsy and biopsy submissions, with six (0.09%) autopsy cases diagnosed as transmissible venereal tumour (TVT) with encephalic metastases. Background: Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the most common cause of mortality in chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients. Several studies suggest that the Mediterranean diet reduces the risk of CVD due to its influence on endothelial function, inflammation, lipid profile, and blood pressure. Integrating metabolomic and proteomic analyses of CKD could provide insights into the pathways involved in uremia-induced CVD and those pathways modifiable by the Mediterranean diet.

This study presents an IoT-based gait analysis system employing insole pressure sensors to assess gait kinetics. The system integrates piezoresistive sensors within a left foot insole, with data acquisition managed using an ESP32 board that communicates via Wi-Fi through an MQTT IoT framework. Objective: Motor Imagery (MI)-based Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) have been proposed for the rehabilitation of people with disabilities, being a big challenge their successful application to restore motor functions in individuals with Spinal Cord Injury (SCI). This work proposes an Electroencephalography (EEG) gait imagery-based BCI to promote motor recovery on the Lokomat platform, in order to allow a clinical intervention by acting simultaneously on both central and peripheral nervous mechanisms.

Purpose: To evaluate glycemic variability (GV) using continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) in individuals with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) undergoing Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB).

Methods: This prospective cohort study compared the CGM data of fourteen patients with T2DM (n = 7) and without T2DM (n = 7) undergoing RYGB. After 6 months, these patients were compared to a non-operative control group (n = 7) matched by BMI, sex, and age to the T2DM group.
