Background: The epidemiology of potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs) in critical care units remains limited, especially in terms of the factors associated with their use.
Objective: To estimate the incidence and factors associated with PIMs use in intensive care units.
Design And Setting: Historical cohort study was conducted in a high-complexity hospital in Brazil.

Objective: to validate the content of an instrument for documenting the steps of the Nursing Process, using the standardized languages NANDA-I, NOC, and NIC (NNN), aiming at hospitalized patients in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Method: A methodological research performed in three steps: design of the existing instrument from the systems NANDA-I, NOC and NIC; content validation by 13 judges, from a four-point Likert-type scale - items were evaluated as to their clarity and pertinence; applicability: judgement of the content regarding clarity, reading ease, and presentation for 40 critical-care nurses. The Content Validity Index (CVI) and the Kappa coefficient (k) was calculated to measure the proportion of relevance and clarity, was well as to verify the level of agreement between the experts in each item.
Objective: To evaluate the effects of an implementation intention intervention on adherence to an oral anti-diabetic medication regime, diabetes-related distress and on glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Methods: A randomized, parallel-group, single-center controlled trial was conducted among adults with type 2 diabetes being managed at the primary care level. The intervention group (IG, n = 45) received an 'implementation intention' intervention; the control group (CG, n = 45) received standard care.
It is a well-known fact that the practice of physical activity on a regular basis among elderly people contributes to the prevention and reduction of pain, as well as promote active ageing. Based on this premise, the scope of this study was to evaluate the presence of chronic pain among elderly people attended in a primary health care unit in a city in the interior of Sao Paulo State, Brazil, by comparing those who practice Chinese gymnastics (Lian Gong) and the sedentary. Sixty elderly people were divided between 30 sedentary and 30 who participate in a group practicing Lian Gong.

Aim: To describe an experimental study protocol that aims at implementing and evaluating the effect of the "action planning and coping planning" interventions on medication adherence to OADs in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in follow-up at primary care services.
Design: A randomized controlled trial.
Objective:: To evaluate the relation between diabetes-related distress and the clinical and sociodemographic characteristics of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients.
Methods:: A cross-sectional study based on a secondary analysis of data collected at a specialized care outpatient center in Brazil. Participants completed a questionnaire on sociodemographic and clinical characteristics and the Brazilian version of the Diabetes Distress Scale (B-DDS).
Background And Purpose: Assessing the stress of patient with diabetes requires reliable and valid instruments. This study evaluated the measurement properties of the Brazilian version of the Diabetes Distress Scale (B-DDS).
Methods: This cross-sectional study enrolled 139 patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2) receiving outpatient treatment.
Patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) are at risk of developing potential drug-drug interactions (PDDIs). The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of PDDIs that occur in HSCT patients on the day of hematopoietic stem cell infusion. We performed a cross-sectional study based on the evaluation of prescriptions to HSCT patients on the day of infusion (day 0).
