We have measured the frequency of the extremely narrow 1S-2S two-photon transition in atomic hydrogen using a remote cesium fountain clock with the help of a 920 km stabilized optical fiber. With an improved detection method we obtain f(1S-2S)=2466 061 413 187 018 (11) Hz with a relative uncertainty of 4.5×10(-15), confirming our previous measurement obtained with a local cesium clock [C.

This paper experimentally evaluates the assessment of precise point positioning (PPP) using the Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) Ultra-Rapid GPS products to serve as a short latency time-transfer tool to assist timing laboratories in operational maintenance of frequency standards and time scale dissemination. An automated data exchange and processing system has been set up to serve the international community for efficient, nearly real-time clock comparison and monitoring purposes.

After a description of the clock ensemble, comprising three fountains, FO1, FO2, and FOM, and the newest developments, we review recent studies of several systematic frequency shifts. This includes the distributed cavity phase shift, which we evaluate for the FO1 and FOM fountains, applying the techniques of our recent work on FO2.

We report the operation of a dual Rb/Cs atomic fountain clock. (133)Cs and (87)Rb atoms are cooled, launched, and detected simultaneously in LNE-SYRTE's FO2 double fountain. The dual clock operation occurs with no degradation of either the stability or the accuracy.

The useful THz linewidth is in order of 150 kHz and has been assessed along with the frequency accuracy by spectroscopic measurements demonstrating a relative accuracy of 10(-8) at frequencies around 1 THz. The THz synthesizer is used to implement a THz spectrometer to study the rotational absorption spectrum of carbonyl sulfide (OCS).
