Background: Metastatic pancreatic lesions (MPLs) are relatively uncommon, constituting 2 to 5% of all pancreatic tumors. They often manifest as solitary lesions without distinct clinical symptoms, usually identified incidentally during radiologic imaging for the surveillance of prior malignancies. Differentiating these lesions from primary pancreatic tumors presents a significant challenge due to their nonspecific presentation.

With the aim of providing a comprehensive description of the main US characteristics of this rare form of neuroendocrine neoplasm, we are here describing an interesting case of a young woman with insulinoma, identified by using both bedside and endoscopic ultrasounds.

However, UGIEs are often performed in clinical practice in these patients. We aimed to assess the prevalence of gastro-oesophageal lesions in patients with atypical GORD symptoms.

Accordingly, we analyzed spleen stiffness (SS) as a non-invasive method to predict EVs of any grade in a cohort of patients with compensated liver cirrhosis.
Method: We measured SS and liver stiffness (LS) using point-Shear-Wave Elastography (pSWE) with Philips Affiniti 70 system in 210 cirrhotic patients who had undergone endoscopic screening for EVs.
Introduction And Objectives: This study aims to measure the values of spleen stiffness (SS) in healthy subjects, the inter-operator agreement in SS measurement, and to detect statistically significant correlations between SS and age, sex, weight, BMI, portal vein dynamics and splenic dimensions.
Materials And Methods: The study included 100 healthy volunteers who had no substantial alcohol intake (<30g/daily for man, <20g/daily women), were negative on hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV blood serology, and had any history of lymphoproliferative disorders. Abdominal ultrasound, liver and spleen elastography were performed on each patient to search for focal splenic lesions, bile tract or portal vein dilatation, moderate/severe liver steatosis, and to measure liver and spleen stiffness.
Background & Aims: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a chronic liver disorder, tightly associated with obesity. The histological spectrum of the disease ranges from simple steatosis to steatohepatitis, with different stages of fibrosis, and fibrosis stage is the most significant predictor of mortality in NAFLD. Liver biopsy continues to be the gold standard for its diagnosis and reliable non-invasive diagnostic tools are unavailable.
