Some areas of tropical soils where cocoa grows contain high cadmium (Cd) concentrations. The cocoa plant's need for nutrition causes the reticular system to uptake the toxic metal, translocate it, and accumulate it in roots, stems, and other edible parts such as cocoa beans and shells, threatening the health of cocoa consumers. To cope with this difficulty, different treatments have been applied to cadmium-contaminated soils, but they showed limited success.

Angiographic outcomes of embolization in patients with intracranial aneurysms with coil- assisted Laser cut stent versus braided stents.

Introduction: Intracranial aneurysms (IA) are a focal dilatation of the vessel wall, the rupture of these, causes subarachnoid hemorrhage. Until now, endovascular management is the ideal treatment, providing the interventionist a range of options among which the stent and coils embolization stands out because of its occlusion rate. Flow Diverter Treatment for Non-Ruptured Carotid Aneurysms: Efficacy and Safety.

Introduction: Three-dimensional (3D) printing has evolved for medical applications as it can produce customized 3D models of devices and implants that can improve patient care. In this study, we aimed to validate the geometrical accuracy of the 3D models of intracranial aneurysms printed using Stereolithography 3D printing technology.

[Hepatitis E virus seroprevalence in blood donors in a university hospital in Chile].

In Chile, there are few studies about seroprevalence of IgG antibodies against hepatitis E virus (HEV) in blood banks, between 4 and 8%. The development of new techniques with greater sensitivity and specificity, account for an increase in the seroprevalence of HEV in various countries, the current status in Chile being unknown.
