We aimed to synthesize the benefit of metabolic surgery (MS) on macrovascular outcomes in adult patients with T2D.We included both cohort studies and randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that evaluated MS added to medical therapy compared with medical therapy alone in the treatment of adult patients with T2D.
