The routine and mental health of hospitalized children with cancer: family perspectives.

Objective: To understand the routine and implications on the mental health of hospitalized children with cancer, from the perspective of family members.

Method: Qualitative research, carried out with 11 relatives of children hospitalized in an oncopediatric inpatient unit, during the month of September 2022. The information was produced through semi-structured interviews and was analyzed according to Minayo's Thematic Analysis, emerging two categories: "The child's routine during hospitalization" and "The child's mental health during hospitalization".

Repercussions imposed by the pandemic on the care for children with mental disorders in a pediatric unit.

Objective: To understand the perceptions of nurses about the repercussions on the care for children with mental disorders in a pediatric inpatient unit amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Method: Qualitative research conducted with 13 nurses in a general pediatrics unit in a large hospital in southern Brazil. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed according to the Thematic Analysis.

The mental health of nurses who are women and mothers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Objective: To reflect on the mental health of nurses who are women and mothers in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Method: Theoretical-reflective study based on scientific literature, supported by national and international scientific literature, in addition to a critical analysis by the authors.

Results: Reflections on the subject go beyond the impact of motherhood on these women's lives, as it portrays a gender issue and the role of women within society.

One year of pandemic: how is the mental health of nursing professionals?

Objective: To reflect on the mental health of nursing professionals one year after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Method: Theoretical-reflective study based on evidence found in national and international scientific literature, on the discursive elaboration on the theme and including the authors' perception and critical analysis.

Results: After one year facing the pandemic, nursing professionals experienced a worsening of their mental health, given the persistence and also the deterioration of the health system scenario, high risk of contamination and repercussions of the disease in professional and personal lives.

Pleasure and suffering in the work of nurses at the oncopediatric hospital unit: qualitative research.

Objective: To analyze the experiences that generate pleasure and suffering in the work of nurses in an oncopediatric inpatient unit.

Methods: Qualitative, exploratory, descriptive study. Data collection took place from March to May 2018, through interviews with eight nurses in an oncopediatric inpatient unit.

Nursing and mental health: a reflection in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

Objective: To reflect on the mental health of Nursing professionals in the context of the coronavirus pandemic.

Method: This is a theoretical-reflective study based on the discursive formulation on the theme and supported by the national and international scientific literature and by the authors' critical analysis.

Results: The analyzed studies, along with the care practice, showed that Nursing professionals are susceptible to the exacerbation of symptoms such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, anguish, and stress in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, in view of their exhaustive work shifts, patients' deaths, risk of infecting themselves and their families, and social isolation.
