Aim: Massive intracoronary thrombus is associated with adverse procedural results including failed aspiration and unfavourable reperfusion. In this scenario the best treatment remains unknown. Methods: From January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2010 all patients affected by STEMI with symptom onset <12h were enrolled.
