Background And Purpose: Delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI) is a complication of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Arterial cerebral vasospasm (CVS) is discussed as the main pathomechanism for DCI. Due to positive effects of per os nimodipine, intraarterial nimodipine application is used in patients with DCI.
