Simultaneous Accelerated Corneal Crosslinking and Laser Keratomileusis for the Treatment of High Myopia in Asian Eyes.

Background: LASIK Xtra is a recently described technique which combines LASIK and accelerated corneal cross-linking(CXL) in the same setting. Its long-term outcome in Asians with high myopia is not well described.

Objectives: To compare the efficacy, predictability and safety of LASIK Xtra with LASIK in patients with high myopia.

Determinants of macular thickness using spectral domain optical coherence tomography in healthy eyes: the Singapore Chinese Eye study.

Purpose: We determined ocular and systemic factors influencing macular thickness measured by spectral-domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) in a population-based sample of healthy eyes.

Methods: We recruited 490 healthy Chinese adults, aged 40 to 80 years, from the Singapore Chinese Eye Study, a population-based survey. All participants underwent a comprehensive eye examination and a standardized interview.
