The Frey procedure has been demonstrated to be an effective surgical technique to treat patients with painful large duct chronic pancreatitis. More commonly reported as an open procedure, we report our experience with a minimally invasive approach to the Frey procedure. Methods: This is a retrospective review of our database examining consecutive patients who underwent an initial first-stage laparoscopic liver resection for CRC metastases, with a planned second-stage resection from 2007 to 2013.
Results: Seven patients underwent an initial laparoscopic first stage with concurrent right portal vein ligation (RPVL) in two patients.
