Background: While laparoscopic cholecystectomy has largely been performed in an outpatient setting in some countries for years, in Germany it is still generally performed on an inpatient basis; however, with the progressive ambitions for more outpatient treatment within the German healthcare system, laparoscopic cholecystectomy will (have to) increasingly be performed on an outpatient basis in the upcoming years.
Aim Of The Work: Presentation of the current framework conditions and the potential for outpatient performance of laparoscopic cholecystectomy in Germany. Presentation and discussion on the current state of knowledge regarding patient selection, treatment pathways and safety of outpatient laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
A better molecular understanding of the temperature-triggered drug release from lysolipid-based thermosensitive liposomes (LTSLs) is needed to overcome the recent setbacks in developing this important drug delivery system. Enhanced drug release was previously rationalized in terms of detergent-like effects of the lysolipid monostearyl lysophosphatidylcholine (MSPC), stabilizing local membrane defects upon LTSL lipid melting. This is highly surprising and here referred to as the 'lysolipid paradox,' because detergents usually induce the opposite effect─they cause leakage upon freezing, not melting.

Diagnosing a reflux disease is difficult due to a leak of existing distinct criteria, especially in order to evaluate a surgical indication. Also a preoperative measurement of the hernia is necessary to choose between surgical options.

This study aimed to evaluate the survival and early growth of eucalyptus trees in an area subject to sandy process after three years of growth. The Eucalyptus grandis seedlings were grown in a greenhouse, inoculated or not with the isolated ectomycorrhizal Pisolithus microcarpus (UFSC-Pt116), produced in peat or Entisol.
