Objective: To summarize the best evidence for exercise intervention in elderly patients with sarcopenia in intensive care unit (ICU) through literature search, and provide a reference for clinical implementation of early exercise intervention in this population through evidence-based practice.
Methods: (1) Summary of best evidence: relevant literature on exercise intervention for elderly patients with sarcopenia in ICU, including guideline, evidence summary, expert consensus, systematic review, and original study [quasi-experiment and randomized controlled trial (RCT)] from UpToDate Clinical Advisor, Ovid database, National Guideline Clearinghouse (NGC), National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), Cochrane Library, Embase, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINAHL), PubMed/Medline, SinoMed, CNKI, Wanfang Database, VIP, and Yimai Tong Guideline Network were systematically searched. The search period covered from the establishment of these databases up to August 24, 2023.
This study proposes an innovative strategy for achieving PN in synthetic domestic wastewater by side-stream sludge treatment using sulfide as the sole control factor. By conducting controllable batch experiments and response surface analysis, optimal sulfide treatment conditions were firstly determined as 90 mg/L of sulfide, 7.5 of pH, 100 rpm of rotation and 12 h of treatment time.

This work demonstrates, for the first time, the feasibility of using the synergy of anammox and Bacillus velezensis M3-1 microorganisms for nitrogen removal. Methods: The study included 120 COPD patients admitted to the respiratory department, using random number table method randomly assigned to a control group (Ctrl group, receiving routine nursing management) and an observation group (Obs group, receiving Integrated Theory of Health Behavior Change (ITHBC)-based nursing management), each comprising 60 cases. Self-management, recovery of lung function and clinical symptoms, and quality of life (QOL) of patients were compared in two groups.
