The study aimed to assess how ultra-early enteral nutrition (UEEN) affects recovery in young and middle-aged patients recovering from surgery for cerebral hemorrhage.
It involved a retrospective analysis of data from 64 patients, split into two groups: those receiving nutrition within 12 hours post-surgery (UEEN) and those after 24-48 hours (EEN).
Results showed that patients in the UEEN group had better nutritional indicators and fewer gastrointestinal complications compared to the EEN group, indicating the potential benefits of starting nutrition earlier.
