Metal-organic cages (MOCs) have been considered as emerging zero-dimensional (0D) porous fillers to generate molecularly homogenous MOC-based membrane materials. However, the discontinuous pore connectivity and low filler concentrations limit the improvement of membrane separation performance. To address this, a composite hydrogel, comprising carboxylated soybean cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs), poly(N-isopropyl acrylamide) (PNIPAM), dimethyl diallyl ammonium chloride (PDADMAC), and kaolin (CN/P-K) was synthesized. CNCs served to stabilize the interpenetrating polymer networks of PNIPAM and PDADMAC through hydrogen bonding and electrostatic interactions, respectively, while the kaolin interlayer improved the material toughness.

Methods: We use data from the sixth Health Service Survey of Shandong Province, China. The survey interviewed 35,264 respondents, from which a total of 1,457 hearing-impaired older adults were included in the study.
To investigate the synergistic effect of astaxanthin and curcumin on ovarian function in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) mice and to elucidate the underlying mechanisms, fifty 4-week-old female mice were randomly divided into five groups: (i) normal control group; (ii) PCOS model group; (iii) PCOS + astaxanthin group; (iv) PCOS + curcumin group; and (v) PCOS + astaxanthin-curcumin. Throughout the study, various parameters were meticulously evaluated, including serum levels of key reproductive hormones (testosterone (T), estradiol (E2), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), and anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH)), as well as monitoring alterations in the estrous cycle, follicle development, and ovulation rates. Additionally, markers of oxidative stress and inflammation were measured.

Methods: This prospective study was based on the pregnant women cohort study established in Peking University International Hospital from December 2017 to March 2019. A total of 120 women were enrolled sequentially, including 60 cases of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM group) and 60 cases of non-gestational diabetes mellitus (non-GDM group) after 4-7 years.
