This retrospective study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of PBVD (pegylated liposomal doxorubicin [PLD], bleomycin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine) in the first-line treatment of classical Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL) patients with cardiovascular risk factors. Overall, 84 patients (53 had stage I-II and 31 had stage III-IV disease) received PBVD. The median PLD treatment duration was 16 weeks (interquartile range [IQR]: 8-24) for stage I-II and 24 weeks (IQR: 12-24) for stage III-IV.

The research on bioactive secondary metabolites from Aspergillus fumigatus afforded six compounds, which were identified by mass spectrometer (MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopic analysis as cyclopyazonic acid (1), trypacidin A (2), asterric acid (3), methyl asterrate (4), demethylcitreoviranol (5), as well as (5-hydroxy-2-oxo-2H-pyran-4-yl) methyl acetate (6). Cyclopyazonic acid (1) was found to have potent antibacterial effects, especially against Bacillus licheniformis with minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) value of 3.7μg/mL.

One new epoxydon ester () and a new benzolactone derivative (), along with four known compounds (-), were isolated from the insect-associated fungus sp. Their structures were confirmed by extensive MS and NMR spectroscopic analysis and their absolute configurations were determined by a combination of modified Mosher method and Mo(OCOCH)-induced electronic circular dichroism (ECD) experiments. Compounds and were revealed to have potent antioxidant activities, which were approximate to the potency of the positive control trolox.

To investigate the clinical efficacy of autologous cytokine induced killer (CIK) cells transfusion combined with radiochemotherapy in the treatment of advanced cervical cancer. A total of 89 hospitalized patients with advanced cervical cancer were admitted and divided into the treatment group (44 cases, autologous CIK cells transfusion combined with radiochemotherapy) and the control group (45 cases, radiochemotherapy) by a randomized non-blind method. Comparisons of therapeutic efficacies, immune functions, life qualities and survival rates were analyzed between the two groups.

The structures of coordination polymers are strongly influenced by the organic ligands and metal ions used for their construction, so it is important to choose suitable ligands and metal ions and appropriate synthetic processes. Two novel d(10) coordination polymers, namely poly[[diaquabis(2,2'-bipyridine)[μ4-4,4'-(1,4-phenylenedioxy)bis(benzene-1,2-dicarboxylato)]dizinc(II)] dihydrate], {[Zn2(C22H10O10)(C10H8N2)2(H2O)2]·2H2O}n, (1), and poly[[diaquabis(1,10-phenanthroline)[μ4-4,4'-(1,4-phenylenedioxy)bis(benzene-1,2-dicarboxylato)]dicadmium(II)] dimethylformamide disolvate], {[Cd2(C22H10O10)(C12H8N2)2(H2O)2]·2C3H7NO}n, (2), have been synthesized from 4,4'-(1,4-phenylenedioxy)bis(benzene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid) (H4L) and two different N-containing auxiliary ligands through a mixed-ligand synthetic strategy under a solvothermal environment. The structures were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, powder X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy.
