Unlabelled: Capecitabine (CAP) is one of the most commonly prescribed fluoropyrimidines in oncology, especially in the treatment of colon cancer. Cardiac toxicity is a severe and potentially lethal adverse drug reaction (ADR) against fluoropyrimidines. Cardiac ADRs, such as myocardial infarction (MI), heart failure (HF), arrhythmias, and a number of cardiomyopathies, are reported for these molecules.

Antimicrobial resistance is considered one of the major threats to public health and is an important factor that influences the patient's outcome in the intensive care unit. Pharmacovigilance can help raise awareness of potential drug resistance (DR) or ineffectiveness (DI) through adverse drug reaction reports that are submitted to different spontaneous reporting systems. Based on spontaneous Individual Case Safety Reports from EudraVigilance, we conducted a descriptive analysis of adverse drug reactions associated with meropenem, colistin, and linezolid, with a focus on DR and DI.

Surgical Atrial Septal Patch Endocarditis in a Patient with a Complete Corrected Atrioventricular Canal Defect: A Case Report and Review of the Literature.

Infective endocarditis (IE) is common in patients with corrected congenital heart disease (CHD) with a residual lesion, but is rarely found on surgical patches used to close atrial septal defects (ASDs). This is also reflected in the current guidelines that do not recommend antibiotic therapy for patients with a repaired ASD with no residual shunt six months after closure (percutaneous or surgical). However, the situation could be different in the case of mitral valve endocarditis, which causes leaflet disruption with severe mitral insufficiency and could seed the surgical patch.

The role of echocardiography in the diagnosis and management of a giant unruptured sinus of Valsalva aneurysm.

Sinus of Valsalva Aneurysm (SVA) is an aortic root anomaly, consisting of a lack of continuity between the aortic media and the aortic annulus, caused by a structural deficiency of muscular and elastic tissue. We present the case of a 49-year-oldman with atypical chest pain. Echocardiographic imaging described a giant unruptured aneurysm of the right sinus of Valsalva which was confirmed by cardiac computed tomography and coronary angiography.

Robot-assisted transaxillary thyroid surgery-retrospective analysis of anthropometric features.

Purpose: The vast majority of studies published on robot-assisted thyroid surgery are South Korean. This study aims to assess the impact of certain anthropometric parameters on performing robot-assisted thyroid surgery on Caucasian patients.

Materials And Methods: A total of 91 patients underwent robot-assisted surgery by the axillary approach in the Fifth Surgical Clinic, City Hospital Cluj-Napoca, between 2010 and 2015.

Operative outcomes of robot-assisted transaxillary thyroid surgery for benign thyroid disease: early experience in 50 patients.

Purpose: The main benefits of robot-assisted transaxillary thyroid surgery are to overcome the technical limitations of other endoscopic procedures for this surgical pathology and to avoid any cervical skin incision. This article describes the first experience of a Romanian team with the endoscopic robot-assisted thyroid surgery.

Material And Methods: We used the da Vinci SI intuitive surgical system to carry out 50 thyroid operations: 33 unilateral total lobectomies with isthmectomy (TL), 8 unilateral total lobectomies, with contralateral subtotal lobectomy, and 9 total thyroidectomies.
