This study aimed to examine the mental health and social-emotional skills of individuals with mathematics difficulties (MD), reading difficulties (RD), and comorbid difficulties (MDRD) in China. Students with MD (n = 35), RD (n = 27), MDRD (n = 43), and typically-developing peers (TD, n = 167) completed the Children's Depression Inventory, the Children's Loneliness Questionnaire, the Social Anxiety Questionnaire, and the Survey on Social Emotional Skills (SSES). In regard to mental health, results showed that MDRD experienced significantly higher levels of loneliness compared to TD, while MD had significantly higher levels of depression than TD.

Background: Meningiomas are the most common primary intracranial tumors, accounting for approximately one-third of all primary brain neoplasms, typically characterized by a single histological variant. Multiple meningiomas are a relatively rare occurrence in a single patient, particularly when exhibiting different histopathological variants.
Observations: The authors present the cases of three patients, each with two separate intracranial meningiomas of different variants.
Currently, cancer immunotherapy strategies are primarily formulated based on the patient's present condition, representing a "static" treatment approach. However, cancer progression is inherently "dynamic," as the immune environment is not fixed but undergoes continuous changes. This dynamism is characterized by the ongoing interactions between tumor cells and immune cells, which ultimately lead to alterations in the tumor immune microenvironment.

After SMF treatment, the surface of soluble DF showed higher pore density and pore structures, and insoluble DF showed more folds and a concave-convex surface profile. FT-IR and thermogravimetric analyses also showed that SMF pretreatment improved the functional group structure and thermal stability of DFs in corn sprouts.

Their planar structures and the absolute configurations were elucidated based on spectroscopic methods and experimental electronic circular dichroism calculations. Compound 6 was capable of diminishing the expression of fibronectin and α-SMA, while compound 8 might dose-dependently attenuate fibronectin and collagen I expression.

However, their roles in the association between fetal growth and perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) exposure remain unclear. In this study, the levels of 34 PFAS, IGF1, and insulin were measured in 258 paired mother-infant serum samples collected from a nested case-control study in Maoming city.

Our aim in this study is to summarize the clinical and imaging characteristics of patients with HOD following brainstem stroke.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed for all patients who were selected from electronic case databases between October 2019 and January 2024 in the Jiangxi Provincial People's Hospital and the Xinyu People's Hospital.
Astaxanthin (AST), as a natural antioxidant, has broad application prospects in medicine and health products. However, its highly unsaturated structure and significant lipophilic characteristics limit its dispersibility and bioavailability, thereby restricting its application in food, medicines, and nutraceuticals. To overcome these limitations, researchers have proposed the use of nano delivery systems.

Background: The lack of standards for prefilled anticoagulant injection has resulted in a high complication rate, decreased patient satisfaction, and diminished service quality. This study investigated the impact of the Lean Six Sigma management approach on the standardization of nurses' prefilled anticoagulant subcutaneous injection practices.
Background: Autonomic innervation of the heart plays a pivotal role not only in regulating the heart rate but also in modulating the cardiac cell microenvironment via cell-cell interactions and influencing the heart's repair capabilities. Currently, the primary clinical approach for treating myocardial infarction (MI) is percutaneous coronary intervention. However, the myocardial salvage rate remains low for patients with advanced disease.

Interestingly, these materials undergo continuous degradation and release antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) while simultaneously promoting tissue regeneration, thereby exerting a potent antibacterial effect. On this basis, a variety of basic properties of ECM materials, such as porous adsorption, hydrophilic adsorption, group crosslinking, and electrostatic crosslinking, can be used to facilitate the integration of ECM materials and antibacterial agents through physical and chemical approaches in order to enhance the antibacterial efficacy.

Environmental ozone (O) and ultraviolet A (UVA) may induce ozonation and photoaging of 6PPD to produce toxic products. However, the impact of specific environmental conditions on the aging and toxic effects of 6PPD is unclear.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of SMF treatment on the structural and digestive properties of germinated corn (GC) starch. In vitro digestibility examination of GC starch revealed that SMF treatment (30 mT, 2 h) led to a 12.

This study aims to evaluate the ameliorative effects of insoluble dietary fiber from adzuki bean seed coat (AIDF) on dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced UC in mice, both with and without bound polyphenols (BPs). We employed a model based on the "remove/backfill" of components.

Although clinicians have got some understanding about the clinical and neuroimaging features of 1,2-DCE-induced toxic encephalopathy, abnormality along the cortico-medullary junction on diffusion-weighted image (DWI) mimicking neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) has not yet been described in this entity.
Case Presentation: We reported a patient with 1,2-DCE-induced toxic encephalopathy who was admitted to our department due to a 7-day history of nausea, vomiting, and cognitive decline.
Obesity-induced insulin resistance (IR) can precipitate metabolic disorders such as diabetes. Zeaxanthin, a crucial member of the carotenoid family, has been found to mitigate the damage caused by obesity. However, reports on the effects of zeaxanthin on obesity-induced IR are lacking.

Method: To address this research gap, the current study conducted a three-level meta-analysis approach and simultaneously considered the two perspectives of the bully and victim to clarify the relationship between school bullying experienced by children and EFs. It also explored the moderating variables that affect the relationship between school bullying and EFs.
Background: Malignant tumors are one of the leading causes of death worldwide, imposing a substantial economic and social burden. Early detection is the key to improving cure rates and reducing mortality rates, which requires the development of sensitive early detection technologies. Signal amplification techniques play a crucial role in aptamer-based early detection of tumors and are increasingly garnering attention from researchers.
