Acetaminophen is a common over-the-counter medication that recently gained substantial media attention regarding its use by pregnant individuals. In this clinical perspective, we discuss the strengths and limitations of the published literature on the effect of maternal acetaminophen use in pregnancy on the child's risk of developing attention-deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Studies included were specifically selected on the basis of the quality and validity of ADHD or ASD outcome definitions.

Methods: In a randomized, crossover study, we assessed whether dicloxacillin reduces oral absorption of drugs through P-glycoprotein (P-gp) during 10 and 28 days of treatment. To study the impact of dicloxacillin/flucloxacillin on intestinal and hepatic expression of P-gp in vitro, we usd LS174T cells and 3D spheroids of primary human hepatocytes.
Objective: Patients with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) have varying degrees of bone fragility and increased fracture rates. There is a paucity of data related to complications to pregnancies in patients with OI and to their offspring. With this study we aim to evaluate the risk of complications to pregnancies, delivery, and offspring in pregnancies where the mother or father have OI.

The aim of this study was to examine variations in use of antidepressants among children and adolescents in the three Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Norway, and Denmark). We identified new users of antidepressants (5-17 years) during 2007-2018 and described the annual incidence rate, treatment duration, concomitant psychotropic drug use, and the clinical setting of the prescribing physician (in Sweden and Denmark). Exposure to certain medications can disrupt processes of fetal development, including brain development, leading to a continuum of neurodevelopmental difficulties. Recognizing the deficiency of neurodevelopmental investigations within pregnancy pharmacovigilance, an international Neurodevelopmental Expert Working Group was convened to achieve consensus regarding the core neurodevelopmental outcomes, optimization of methodological approaches and barriers to conducting pregnancy pharmacovigilance studies with neurodevelopmental outcomes. Flucloxacillin is a widely used antibiotic. It is an agonist to the nuclear receptor PXR that regulates the expression of cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes. Treatment with flucloxacillin reduces warfarin efficacy and plasma concentrations of tacrolimus, voriconazole, and repaglinide.
