Objective: To examine the mechanism of action of tanshinone II A (Tan II A) in promoting chemosensitization of osteosarcoma cells to cisplatin (DDP).
Methods: The effects of different concentrations of Tan II A (0-80 µ mol/L) and DDP (0-2 µ mol/L) on the proliferation of osteosarcoma cell lines (U2R, U2OS, 143B, and HOS) at different times were examined using the cell counting kit-8 and colony formation assays. Migration and invasion of U2R and U2OS cells were detected after 24 h treatment with 30 µ mol/L Tan II A, 0.
The detailed characterization of the structural features of peptides targeting cholesterol esterase (CEase) or pancreatic lipase (PPL) will benefit the management of hyperlipidemia and obesity. This study employed the Glide SP (standard precision)-peptide method to predict the binding modes of 20 dipeptides and 20 tripeptides to these targets, correlating residue composition and position with binding energy. Strong preferences for Trp, Phe, and Tyr were observed at all positions of potential inhibitory peptides, whereas negatively charged residues Glu and Asp were disfavored.

Method: In this cross-sectional study, a questionnaire survey was administered to preschool children aged 2-7 years from 60 kindergartens in six districts of Urumqi City in August 2019. Multiple regression was run to predict influence factors for otitis media in preschool children.
To solve the problem of easy spoilage of chilled meat during storage, we fabricated a novel composite film using carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCS)/pullulan (Pul)/eugenol (E) by casting method. The results showed that the mechanical properties of the films were better when the CMCS/Pul ratio was 2.5/2.
