[Bacterial vaginosis in pregnant women--treatment with clindamycin].

The authors discuss one of the most frequently founded cause of spontaneous abortions and prematurity birth--the bacterial vaginosis. The diagnostics is easy and not expensive. In the complex of health's caries it is necessary to include and the prophylaxis of diagnostics and harmless and efficient treatment with local drug as example "Dalacin V".

Audiological problems in patients with tinnitus exposed to noise and vibrations.

Tinnitus is a hearing sensation appearing without available sound fluctuations in the external environment. It is one of the major, constant and earliest symptoms suggesting different pathology of the hearing analyser. It must be considered, though, that it is evidenced also at disturbed functions of other organs and systems of the organism.

[The incidence of sperm antibodies in patients included in a program of assisted reproduction].

The aim of the present investigation was to establish the sperm antibody incidence among patients included in a program for assisted reproduction by the means of the classical and new methods for sperm antibody detection; to analyze the correlation between the results demonstrated by the different techniques; to evaluate the obtained data in the context of the application of new assisted reproduction technologies (ART). In the Laboratory of Reproductive Immunology, Department of Biology, Medical University of Sofia, 73 sera from patients (35 couples and 3 men) with primary and secondary infertility, aged 23-46 years, grouped according to the diagnosis and included in the program for assisted reproduction "Technobioassistance" were tested. Our results demonstrated the highest incidence of sperm antibodies amongst patients with primary unexplained infertility.

Plant extracts induce chromosome aberrations and sister-chromatid exchanges in Chinese hamster ovary cells and human lymphocytes.

Effects of extracts from Vicia faba were compared with those of Zea mays for the induction of sister-chromatid exchanges (SCEs) and of chromosome aberrations (CAs) in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells. CA induction by the maize extract was also tested in human lymphocytes. The extracts from roots and leaves of Vicia faba induced CAs and SCEs in CHO cells.
