Results show that the year-to-year quality variation of wines produced in North and Central Italy depends on the large-scale climate variability, and that the wine quality improvement in the last four decades is partially due to an increase of temperature and to a decrease of precipitation in West and Central Mediterranean Europe (WME; CME). In addition, wine quality is positively correlated with air temperature throughout the entire active period of the grapevine, weakly negatively correlated with precipitation in spring, and well negatively correlated in summer and fall. The month-to-month composites of the NAO anomaly show that, in years of good quality wine, this anomaly is negative in late spring, oscillates around zero in summer, and is positive in early fall; while, in years of bad quality wine, it is positive in late spring and summer, and negative in early fall, i.

Inoculated milk samples were incubated at 20°C for 24 h, and then one set of samples of each type of milk was stored at ambient (20°C) and a duplicate set at refrigeration (5°C) temperatures for a further 96 h. The industrially fermented milk was least favorable to the survival of L.

An emergency situation with a ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm required prompt surgical intervention with an aortobifemoral graft insertion. In the immediate postoperative period it was realized that a prosthetic graft was placed in the bed of a mycotic aneurysm.

The most widely accepted theory of the pathogenesis of the pancreatic annulus agrees with, and is partially based on this fact. The pancreatic annulus encircling the stenotic second part of the duodenum in our patient was composed of fibromuscular tissue with lymph glands and a few pancreatic acini scattered among the smooth muscle fibers.
