The Cross Cancer Institute completed final facility is locked in on all sides with minimal room for future growth. Would a new facility in a new location have been a better option? From an engineering perspective, it would have been less complicated and frustrating to build new with a new stand-alone plant sized for future expansion capability. From a medical/research perspective, the location adjacent to the university was and still remains invaluable.
